The Bride of Christ

by Edward Schoor © 2006

When
man sinned
and the union with God he broke
glorious words in the highest of heavens
were muffled under the weight of a guilt ridden yolk.

Out
of His
presence a loving word became a
fearful flame that refines the penitent soul
and purge all iniquity, corruption and decay.

The
way back
to the Father, in Christ it was shown
that to be transformed into His likeness
is to come to know the things for many left unknown.

By
this the
the most subtle of living things today
indeed Satan will be cast out from mid-heaven
and we will see the bride of Christ, clothed in God's array.

In
this way
cross ages we shall all be changed
and then at last, with the twinkling of an eye
the redemption of our bodies, by His will arranged.
