Whispers of Armageddon

by Rhonda Bowling

I hear the distant battle cries,
As Angels are seared from blackened skies.
Heaven weeps as each one falls,
God's battling Angels that evil calls.

Distant sounds of screams be heard,
As demons cross in fiery herds,
Marching forth these evil peeps,
The saints stand by, but can only weep.

I watched as blood pour from wounded breasts,
Then smoldering winds breathed as from a fiery chest.
A great army of chariots circled around,
As the distant echoes of a trumpet sound.

A mighty sword fell from the sky,
Then Satan's army began to die,
As slashes seared their evil spines,
For God's army had awakened to slaughter the swine.
