Fellowshipping Around The Table

by Margaret Cagle

In the church where I grew up,
We had "dinner on the ground."
It was a country smorgasbord.
Many delicious dishes were found.

Now we call them "fellowships"
When we gather at church to eat.
We still have many delicious dishes.
Those cooks just cannot be beat.

"Fellowshipping" around the table
Is what many churches like to do.
We get acquainted with the saints
As we talk and eat with them too.

I am looking forward to that day
When Jesus Christ shall call
For the Marriage Supper of the Lamb,
The greatest fellowship of all.

The Church will make herself ready
As a Bride that is spotless and white.
The marriage of the Lamb will come,
And it will be a glorious sight!

Accept Jesus Christ as your Savior,
And a reservation you will hold,
For blessed are those who are called
To this great supper, we are told.

Psalm 25:5
King James Version

“Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day.”
