Mighty Shepherd

Like a great shepherd leading His flock,
When one of us stray you leave us not.
Through love and your prayers you lift us back up,
Reminding us always it's He who gave His life up.

But you too get weak and troubled within,
He says to open your heart and cry out to Him.
He hears you always and loves you so much,
He's guiding you now with His tender touch.

And when you get weary He wants you to know,
You are one of His great soldiers because you are so bold.
Knowledge and wisdom these strengths He's given you,
So when you feel despair put them in to use.

Turn to His scripture in Isaiah 44,
Believe in His word so you will fear no more.
Receive it and believe it for His blood covers you,
Cast all doubts out for He is proud of you.

Like a baby he carries you in His loving arms,
Protecting you always through every single storm.
So stay on the path He has made for you,
And there at the end He awaits for you.

One day you will meet and this day will be soon
He's made a crown of gold especially for you.
Your works are not in vain He has written every one
You are His mighty Shepherd and His loving Son.
