Never To Fall Again

I have run to doctors
When feeling so blue
Or off to get a loan
When the dollars were few
I have called on friends
And relatives so quickly
When emotions ran high
And life got prickly
With men, I've gotten nowhere
Just heartache, grief and pain
I should have known to call on you
There's so much more to gain
But I forgot to come to the throne
Or look to your Holy Word
I'd forgotten all you promises
And the scripture I had heard
Forgive me, dear Lord,
For not putting you first
Now I really know
That it is for you I thirst
Lead me and guide me now
In all that I do
Let every work I speak
Be directly from you
And if I don't understand
Why the circumstances are
Open my eyes to see again
That you have brought me this far
I put my trust in you
Completely, I give it all
I know with you I'll stand
Never again to fall.
