Jesus Wept

As news came to Jesus
Of a friend who was weak
His heart became troubled
For He knew he'd be asleep.

His delay to His friend's bedside
Was a plan for all to see
The Glory of His Father
The Son of God will receive.

As Jesus was approaching
His friend began to cry
"If only you were here
My brother would not have died".

"I am the resurrection and the life"
Your brother shall be awakened
Those who believe in me will not perish
Nor will they be forsaken.

Jesus wept with compassion
As the crowd continued to wail
For they have forgotten Who's among them
Their faith withered and failed.

His plan to bring God Glory
Was in the midst of His Call
"Lazarus come out"
All faith has been restored.
