The Grey-Speckled Dove

On the wings of the Grey-Speckled Bird
Fly the promises of Christ my Lord.
Encouraging me to step boldly forward
When I am most like a coward.

Oh how sweet is its song in the morning
When I cower and dread the dawning!
A beacon of light upon a shadowy path
During my moments of uncontrolled wrath.

And when at night it comes to roost
Within my heart, its simple coop
I'm filled with hope and peace and love
Grateful for that Speckled Grey Dove!
