Trapped within an hour glass,
Running out of time.
I did not know this life of mine,
Could be so sweet... sublime.
Trapped within my hour glass,
I stood in sinking sand.
But Jesus smiled down from above,
And took me by the hand.
He pulled me from my prison cell,
Wrapped me in His grace.
He cleansed me with his holy blood,
Wiped tears of sorrow from my face.
Fear drops away in this hour glass,
As I discover his pure love.
Joy and mercy he has poured out,
Like sweet rain from above.
His truth he has showered upon me,
My eyes open wide to see.
I release my hold on Satan's lies,
And gladly follow my King.
My laugh rings out unto the hills,
Birds sing sweeter than before.
I have found true happiness at last,
In pleasing the Christ, my Lord.
