The Breeze of Hope

In cars, on foot, aboard buses and trains
the people of God fill the new day

like bison they lumber toward goals and gain
in the streets and to office buildings they make their way

but most didn't notice it following them there
moving over everything like a silken sheet

making patches of grass dance, and tree leaves declare
its gentle motivation to disregard defeat

a breeze of hope sent from above
to remind us of his caring, sweeping love ....
