There is no Christmas cheer
The stable’s cold and bare
No twinkling lights all glowing bright
No there’s no Christmas cheer
The stable all forlorn
Where baby Christ was born
It has no throne it’s not a home
The stable all forlorn
Angels announce His birth
The Saviour of the earth
In flesh came down He left His crown
Angels announce His birth
The shepherds heard the news
Among the rams, the ewes
They hurried down into the town
The shepherds heard the news
Wise men came from afar
They watched a distant star
Their gifts so rare they left them there
Wise men came from afar
And what more can we say
The Lord of Life that day
He came to save rise from the grave
What more now can we say
Let’s worship Christ the King
His praises rise to sing
His love poured out drives out all doubt
Let’s worship Christ the King
There was no Christmas cheer
The stable cold, so bare
No twinkling lights all glowing bright
There was no Christmas cheer
