Still

by De Anna Hayward

I have sinned, O Lord, I have sinned,
How can The Light be living inside me?
I have Christ's blood on my hands,
Yet still, He walks on beside me.

I have sinned, O Lord, I have sinned,
Still, redemption can be mine.
I have sunk down into the pit
and now have a mountain to climb.

I have sinned, O Lord, I have sinned,
Still, I try to live the life He gave me.
As the darkness recedes, I remember
all that He went through to save me.

I have sinned, O Lord, I have sinned,
He paid the ransom, He gave up His life,
Still, He waited for me on the mountain
and He saved me, my Lord, Jesus Christ.

John 1:15

'The Light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.'
