God Made it Clear

by Paul Walsh © 2008

I entered my blog and read to-day,
Of pain, heart ache, that won't go way.
Children in the middle, of the mess,
Will be in their minds, forever I guess.

They had no part, of what took place,
But you can see the sadness, in their face.
Two people they love, will go their own way,
With which one should we, the children stay .

Dad was fun and gave love so free,
Mom was always there, for us you see.
We have no choice, the decision made,
Obey the courts rule, already laid.

Broken homes create sadness and pain,
Those caught in the middle, are never the same.
Vows that were taken, on that once happy day,
Have been tossed to the wind, blown sadly away.

We make our own rules, to fit our need,
The words of our Lord, we give no heed,
Unless there is sickness, or death at the door,
Then to the Bible, we turn once more.

So to all, who truly believe,
It is only ourselves, whom we deceive,
God in His word, made everything clear,
To unwilling hearts, these words bring fear.
