Would You

by Kathleen Higham

Christ, born to bear a wooden cross
A King would lie in a wooden manger
Out of the darkness He would come
Crucified not for friend, but a stranger.

Jesus died brutally for one and all
This gift the Father God would send
If you are a stranger to Him now
I pray, would you call Him friend?

For the Lord is our Shepherd
And He loves us without end
His rod and staff would comfort us
If only you would call Him friend.

Would you surrender your heart?
As the Holy Spirit cries for you!
A Christmas wish, call Him friend
Now I cry too, Would you?

Psalm 23:4 "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff shall comfort me."
