Wonderful Weaver

by Juanita DeHart

Peace and pain have blended well
To weave a consecrated veil.
Theses threads discretely intertwine,
Creating God's contoured design.

They elegantly cloak my soul
As one fine garment which extols
High praises to applaud my King,
For cloths that calm and chaos brings.

My drapery of woe and mirth
Exceeds earth's estimated worth.
For both have birthed the excellence
Of Hope's eternal opulence.

Love's fingers formed this tapestry...
Shaped it like Him, then covered me.

Isaiah 61:3a
And provide for those who grieve in Zion -
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes, the oil of gladness
instead of mourning, and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
