JESUS, PLEASE ANSWER YOUR PHONE

by edward potts

Jesus, oh Jesus, please answer your phone,
Don't leave me to die down here all alone,
Jesus, oh Jesus, please , what must I do,
To inherit life eternal that comes only from you.

They say that you died for sinners like me,
On a cross on a hill they called Calvary,
Your blood dripping down on the ground below,
Can make our gowns whiter as pure as new snow.

You arose from the grave to set men free,
You made the lame walk and the blind to see,
The woman at the well was living in sin,
But she drank your living water and a new life begin.

You raised Lazarus from the dead, calmed the sea,
Your resurrection itself caused Satan to flee,
Forgave Peter's denial, and doubting Thomas to see,
Death no longer holds us because of your Victory..
