The Parables Overview

by Dave Pritt © 1998

(Intro)

Ever hearing yet never hearing
Ever seeing, yet still they're blind
Parables spoken to guard the Wisdom
Cast not your pearls before the swine.

(Main)

I will sing of a widow and a small mustard seed
I tell of a farmer, of wheat and of weeds
I will speak of a net , let down in a lake
and of Lost coins, ten talents and a time yet to be--

I will sing of a father who let loose his son
I will tell of a shepherd and a lamb on the run
I will speak of a banquet in a time yet to be..
and of five foolish virgins left out in the cold

(Chorus)

So he who has ears--Come let him hear
He who would live-- Let him Draw near
Jesus cries out with words that are clear
Let all who are simple, come ye in here.
