The Cure For Loneliness

by Margaret Cagle

I guess I should feel lonely
With many of my loved ones gone.
They are citizens of Heaven now,
Worshipping around God's throne.

I accepted Jesus as my Savior.
He came into my heart to stay,
So why should I feel lonely?
He is here with me everyday.

I talk to my Heavenly Father.
He watches over me all day long.
I sing His wonderful praises.
In my heart, He gave me a song.

I read of His promises to me.
His Word is so precious to me.
Through His holy Word, He speaks,
And such wonderful truths I see!

When loneliness and shadows come
And try to steal my joy away,
I open God's Word and read it.
Then I fall on my knees and pray.

Friend, if you are feeling lonely
And you are sad from day to day,
Take Jesus Christ as your Savior.
He'll come into your heart to stay.
