What Christ Hath Done

by Micah Betzner

If all earth's treasures I could gain
And house a thousand guests
But did not have the One who'd lain
All my sins upon the cross
Then what I'd gained would worthless be,
For a man's soul costs more
E'en if the earth of gold should be
And were stars of silver made

The greatest price
Can ne'er be paid
By blood of goats
Thus God has said
The blood of bulls
Cannot atone;
This is what Christ
Hath done alone

So God's Son paid this price so vast
For not just one but all
He'll make forever life to last
For all those who will believe
So Christ is our sure foundation
He is the Word of God
For slight is time's storm and station
Compared to His mighty arm

The greatest price
Can ne'er be paid
By blood of goats
Thus God has said.
The blood of bulls
Cannot atone;
This is what Christ
Hath done alone
