For Those who Meet for Worship

For those who meet for worship,
despite the threat of state,
we pray you will uphold them
and make their courage great;
That e'en through persecution
Their faith and joy might shine,
Strong in the gloom and darkness
Proclaiming love divine.


For those who suffer torture
In labour camp or jail
Because they worship Jesus,
We pray we may not fail
To lift their needs before you
Who suffered that same way.
O let them know we bring them
Before your throne today.
