A Passion for Christ

by sharon di © 2009

A soul of great faith in God
A life bent in Christ, he chose to trod
Earthly treasures he do not seek
But, all through the grace of God, remained meek

Flashy rides and opulent clothes he have none
Old patterns and customs are long gone
Forsaking every comfort this world can bring
"Praise the Lord!" and "Hallelujah!" he cannot but sing

Out of his sanctuary and into the battle field
Even his life and being on the line, he's willing to yield
Moved by his love for Christ, even his nearest and dearest he set aside
For the goal of telling the world that for their sins Christ died
