Learning to Pray

I don't know how to pray so I write this letter,
So that You can help me get better.
Sometimes I feel so dumb,
I tell myself relax, it'll come.
When I try to pray,
I stumble and don't know what to say
I know how to raise my hands,
And ask for life's demands
I know how to give thanks,
But in my mind I draw blanks
Lord, what am I going to do
All I want is to be able to talk to You
To be able to tell You how I feel
So when things get tough You can help me deal
My love for You is so real
The devil is still trying to appeal
I'm trying to do what You ask
So in Your glory I can bask
