Inspiration

by Ken Leath

What inspired our Lord and God,
To love the world so much?
Whys He care about this old world,
About you and me and such?

I care so much about my God,
Cause it was He who first loved me!
He's blessed me with a beautiful wife,
Life's full of joy for me, you see.

Life on this earth He gave to us.
So many wonders do abound.
The smell of Mothers apple pie.
The joy of family all around.

He placed the sun high in the sky,
To brighten all our days.
In silent wonder of the moon and stars,
Standing in awe, at night I gaze.

Seems everything was made just so.
The whole universe was put in place.
So this rock that man has named the Earth,
Will support the Human Race.

I'm inspired by the kind of love,
That would take the trouble to,
Make a universe that is so vast,
Because He cares about me and you.

I do not think I'll understand,
Not as long as I shall live.
Why it is He loves me so,
That for my sins, His son He'd give.

So why's He care about this old world?
Someday I think I'll know.
For the moment, I will cherish the fact,
That the good Lord loves me so!inspired our Lord and God,
