Dear Jesus

by patricia guinn

Wherever my journey takes me today
Please walk beside me, don't let me stray
If my mind becomes weary or my legs become weak
Help me remember tis Your will I seek

When we loose that which we treasure the most
Our hearts sorely battered by life's rocky coast
When the mountains ahead are too tall to scale
Or the answer is hidden by life's heavy veil

It's hard for us not to question why
How can we make it, why even try
We all seek answers for our earthly pain
Someplace to hide from life's stagnate rain

Dear Lord when we walk through the darkest of night
Please stay beside us with with Your loving light
When we fall to our knees with the weight of despair
Help us to rise and know You are there

We cannot walk this world alone
We need Your guidance to find our way home
Don't leave our side, our Precious King
Till all ears have heard the judgement bell ring
