Slipping Sliding

by Belinda van Rensburg
https://belindaspoetry.com

Slipping sliding; there's no hiding
From the Lord's correction; chiding -
Though He loves us He can't stand
To look upon sins small or grand.

Souls who rebel are bound for hell
Where they will sadly not fare well;
Don't despair and do not doubt:
Faith in Christ will keep you out.

Our souls' lover's (not another's)
Blood needs to redeem and cover
All our actions sinful: wrong
'fore God will regard them gone.

Christ paid the price which does suffice
To remove all sin and vice;
Though born of woman in a stable
He's risen and much more than able.
