A Jar of Clay

by Albert Watson

No beauty, just a jar of clay,
Rejected, have I had my day?
Chipped and cracked from much abuse,
A vessel no one wants to use.
Friend come close and gaze within,
Discover there one cleansed from sin.
A listening ear, for you I'll pray,
There's treasure in this jar of clay
