The Choice is Yours

by Sue Towler

Jesus came unto His own
Yet they received Him not
All it required was faith and trust
But this they had not got.

Jesus was a good man
Caring and so kind
Helping others, healing too
the sick in body and mind.

In return what did they do
Nailed Him to the tree
Spat upon Him pierced His side
And set Barabbas free.

What about us, you and I
Just where do we stand
Are we shouting "Crucify"
With the mottley band?

We must make our choice now
Jesus waits to see
Free-will has been given to us
Neutral we cannot be.

Accepting Jesus we will have
Eternal life it's true
If you reject Him be assured
Damnation will be for you.

When our days on earth are passed
Judged we then will be
But the leading question is
What will He do with me ?
