The Grinch

by Bryan Miles

In the heart of our nation
Surrounded by, "Whos Whos,"
Lives a modern day Grinch
With very liberal views;
He sits high above the city
Looking down on the rest,
Guiding our future
Deciding, what's best?
What's best for our country?
What's best for our land?
Taking Christ, out of Christmas
And out of God's hand!

He decorates the White House
And the national tree,
While our flag waves in splendor
For every eye to see;
The House of Representatives
And the Senate pass the ball,
Lincoln sits in his memorial
But, I bet he would crawl;
He would crawl to his Maker
And fall on his face,
Asking for mercy,
And pleading his case;
To the God of our country
To the Christ child, our King;
Taking Christ, out of Christmas!
Will the Liberty Bell ring?

Straight towards the church
The Grinch robs the manger,
Where the door is always open
To any passing stranger;
He snatches up the Christ child
With a devilish laugh,
Joseph and Mary
The shepherd and staff;
He stuffs them in his bag
Then, he turns with a jerk,
But,taking Christ out of Christmas
Just simply won't work;
Washington, Oh Washington!
Uncle Sam needs a pinch!
Taking Christ, out of Christmas!
Allows the beast, to feed the Grinch...

The Message Daniel 8:2 He did just as he pleased, strutting as if he were king of the beasts.
