The Lord has promised

The Lord has said He'd never give us more than we can bear.
And when it seems He does just remember He is there.
When life gets hard and troubled and we don't understand,
Remember we will someday be, in that golden promised land.

It's hard to see the reasons with our dark and shaded eyes.
But someday they'll be open in the land beyond the skies.
For now, just cling to Jesus. He'll carry you on through.
He'll hold your heart and sorrow and always be with you.
