Christians

by jeff oliver

We are all Christians in that we are proud
We do not whisper lightly, we scream it out loud
We are not scared of what this world has to say
For we know where we'll be on the Lord's judgment day
For Jesus we are ridiculed at this world's sinful pleasure
No matter what is done to us they can never steal our treasure
For we are God's warriors, he has marked us with his brand
You can beat us and kick us and for Jesus we'll still stand
We have our strength from God and will bow down to no man
For we belong to Jesus not some suicidal clan
We are all about his work, in Jesus name we have been sent
To spread good news to sinners, it's God's love we represent
We are not afraid of death for the Lord will be there with us
Do to our bodies what you like for our soul belongs to Jesus
Christians will gladly give their lives for their father's name
Our death for him will be a pleasure, in him there is no shame
For if we're absent from the body, we are present with the King
To praise him with our voices, by the new song that we will sing
The world always looks down on us because they know we do not belong
We are not children of this world, we are soldiers of the throne
I have a question dear brothers and sisters, are you ready to go home?
Look at this world it's shutting down, there's no more time to roam
So if you have lost loved ones that you do not want to burn
You better tell them the end is near, to Jesus they must return
For Jesus is out there calling, he's giving them one more try
To give their lives to him, it's too late the day they die
