Judgment Day

by Gertrude Jefferies

One day our God will right every wrong,
Every deed will be justly repaid.
He'll know every thought, intent of each heart.
As we stand before him that day.

Standing there our lives will be un-scrolled
We'll see things we've said and we've done,
And though we stand guilty of every wrong,
On the Scape-Goat will hang every one.

Those who've given their lives to God
Have accepted Jesus Christ, his Son,
The Blood will cover their every sin,
And our God will not see even one.

For the blood causes us to be justified,
As if we had never ever sinned,
In the sea of God's forgetfulness,
Is where he has placed all of them.
