Cost of Peace

by James Powell

Whispering winds blow,
honeysuckle scents in the morning mist.
The gentle creeks flow,
shadows dance while the sunlight glists.
Seem-less time is lost,
while the troubles hide.
What is the cost,
for the peace to abide?
The price was paid,
by the Saviour's blood.
Upon his sacrifice, our fate laid,
His love is like a flood.
He has given us the chance,
to redeem our souls and be forgiven.
In his grace we may dance,
for the toils of life we are livin'.
What must we do to get eternal life?
Ask forgiveness, believe in your heart.
Leave it in God's hands, the strife,
If you have, your salvation is at the start.
Thank God daily and pray,
help your family and friends.
To everyone confess and say,
Peace I offer from Jesus who sends.
