All Things

by Kathleen Higham

So often in Your Word I read
Of the many things to come
But it is hard to wait for You
I wonder if joy is only for some.

Others are blessed incredibly
And my life cannot compare
Each day becomes a struggle
For these things that seem unfair.

Your Word echoes once again
Then I realize where I must go
On my knees in thankfulness
Because of these words, "I know."

All things work together for the good
I know, I know what was said
Joy washes over me, when
Spiritual thoughts fill my head.

All things, well it means all things
From everything I've been freed
Abounding in Your grace and love
You have met my every need.

Here I stand on top of the world
Gazing as far as my eyes can see
I lift my hands to the heavens
Knowing, You gave "all things" to me.
