The earth holds its weary breath
As man proclaims his glorious steps.
He glorifies the day of his own birth
And declares power over beast and earth
He claims life he can now create
And life's breath is his right to take
Hungering for more and lust for blood
Within man darkness ensures a flood
Denying existence of a higher power
Elevating himself to his own tower
Self-righteous and he will self-proclaim
Good deeds to prove his own fame
How long oh rocks will you remain
Silent???
Luke 19:40
New International Version (NIV)
40 “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”
