Christ for the World

In every tongue and nation longs a soul
For that which has the pow'r to make him whole
In darkness shed the light
Turn back the host of night
And lift the banner high, "Christ for the World"

The need is clear to all who want to see
For God has giv'n His truth abundantly
He tells us now to go
For everyone must know
The Lord of whom we speak, "Christ for the World"

There is no minor part in work for God
Each saved one is redeemed by Jesus' blood
And for the task at hand
He'll help you understand
The work you do helps show "Christ for the World"

The flesh must have no part in what we do
By faith we trust in God to lead us through
The way that works the best
Is when we simply rest
On God to show through us "Christ for the World"
