Fearless

I once was bound,
knotted up with fear
but, then Jesus came
and drew me near.

He took my thoughts,
filled them with hope
became the Anchor
at the end of my rope.

I once was chained,
coupled with dread
but, then Jesus came
right into my head.

He took my mind,
filled it with peace
said unto Him . . .
my fears to release.

I once was bound,
but, now I’m fearless
for, Jesus released in me
His calming stillness!

Matthew 14:26-27

“And when the disciples
saw him walking on the sea,
they were troubled, saying,
It is a spirit; and they
cried out for fear.
But straightway Jesus
spake unto them, saying,
Be of good cheer;
it is I; be not afraid.”
