Made Right

The blazing heat
Too hot to bear
No wind to ease
No cooling air

The ground too hard
No green will grow
Too many hearts
Have grown so cold

Weighed down by life's
Concerns and cares
Distracted by strife
Happiness so rare

So full of darkness
In the absence of light
Seeking forgiveness
Hoping to make things right

None shall be found
By those with pride
A need to bow down
Be humble inside

The Lord accepts
A repented heart
Clearing sin debt
