Forever Yours Lord

by Clinton Herring © 2021

Forever yours Lord,
now is my soul,
redeemed by You,
You paid a heavy toll.

Forever yours Lord,
this soul stands with you,
though not of your kind,
not heritage of Jew.

Forever yours Lord,
I've been bought with a price
You gave your life willingly
that I not die twice.

Forever yours Lord,
I was lost for sure,
but Your blood spilled on me,
your infinite cure.

Forever yours Lord,
love poured on me now.
I fall on my knees Lord,
and forever I bow.

Forever yours Lord,
salvation now crowns me.
Your pleasure does save,
break chains, sets me free!

Forever yours Lord,
Your spirit deep inside.
Chosen by You, Lord,
I now walk by Your side.

Forever yours Lord,
Your peace in my mind.
Such love, such grace,
and ever so kind.

Forever yours Lord,
Your Word now my treasure.
Given in kindness,
and yes, it's your pleasure.

Forever yours Lord,
my time's almost over.
I found you my Lord,
my "green four-leaf clover".

Forever yours Lord,
I stand now and speak
to a world lost in sin
with days ever bleak.

Forever yours Lord,
I hope all will hear
and throw out their scoffing,
get rid of their fear.

Forever yours Lord,
may they know you too.
Your Word came to save
and is ever so true.

Malachi 3: 16-18
Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name. "On the day when I act," says the Lord Almighty, "they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him.
