A prayer and a song

When God leads you to a mountain
there's no need to fret or whine
first, refuse to look behind you
then begin your upward climb.

Just keep moving forward
don't be afraid if you hear
a gentle stream of running water
it's a loving reminder, God is near.

The rocks can't hurt you either
so sing a song as you onward go
climb up a little higher
keep on praying and move slow.

Then when you finally reach the top
and your strength is almost gone
praise God that you made it
with a prayer and a song.
