Don't Lose Sight Of Christ

by Margaret Cagle

Martha was busy serving alone.
She did not seem to like that,
For her sister Mary followed Jesus,
And at His precious feet she sat.

Martha complained to Jesus,
"Do You care that I serve alone?"
He said, "Mary chose the good part.
From her, this will never be gone."

Martha lost sight of the good part
Which would not be taken away.
Cumbered about with serving,
Martha kept busy day by day.

What was Jesus talking about,
Referring to that good part?
I believe He wants to be put first.
He wants to live in each heart.

Do we get so busy in serving
That we lose sight of Christ?
Do we forget we serve the Savior?
For our sins, He was sacrificed.
