I need Jesus and some coffee,
To help me start my day.
The coffee is to perk me up,
Jesus loves me along the way.
I stumble to the kitchen,
I put the coffee on.
I've been talking to Jesus,
Since the light of dawn.
I sit down at the table,
With my coffee cup in hand,
Praying that God will guide me,
Throughout the day He's planned.
My coffee is strong,
But my Jesus is too.
Without Him in my life,
I wouldn't know what to do.
As I sit in His presence,
I continue to think,
It's just me and my Savior,
Having coffee to drink.
And as I take the last sip
It's really no big deal,
Because with Jesus in my life,
My cup is always overfilled
