My strength and my shield is the Lord,
as together the rolling rivers we ford:
How wonderful is the Lord!
He keeps the enemy's arrows at bay,
and helps me on the path to stay:
How wonderful is the Lord!
He walks with me and helps me stand,
He guides me on with His own hand:
How wonderful is the Lord!
He sits with me at close of day,
and listens closely when I pray:
How wonderful is the Lord!
He walks with me through storm and night,
Yet my ordinary moments give Him delight:
How wonderful is the Lord!
