Joy at Sunrise

Dear Christians this Morning,
It's cold outside! Why such cheer?
Is it because you feel the Lord's Presence so near?
Let's take a look at ourselves - hardly awake!
Some haven't yet had coffee for Heaven's sake!
The hour is so early with its chilly weather
And yet, we Christians are outside, gathered together!
Others are driving by and thinking "Wonder, what gives?"
Our answer is simple: He Lives! He Lives!
2000 Years Ago, Holy Events happened one morn
That gave joy to the sin-sick, the weary, and the worn
The body of the Christ, lifeless and cold
Began to gleam with a warm light brighter than gold
His pulse began to quicken as His heart beat anew
And Death was defeated and quickly bid him Adieu.
The Son of God arose before the sun cast its first ray
And Jesus left the tomb, the stone rolled away!
How much joy this gives us, words can hardly relay
Our pathway to God was fully restored that day!
And to the skeptics and the doubters, I can only say
Believe in Him by faith without further delay
Don't try to prove His existence with science and art
I tell you He Lives - and He Lives in my heart!
You can try as you might to tell me it's just a story
But I'll cling to the Cross and give Jesus all the Glory!
The Resurrected Jesus is The Truth and The Way
And The Great "I AM" - believe in Him today!
All who believe in Him are both prudent and wise
And at this very moment, have Joy at Sunrise
A joy so complete it's impossible to ignore
Not just for this moment, but for evermore!
A Savior so wonderful, who completely saves and forgives
Dear Friends, I'll tell you: He Lives! He Lives!
