Give Me Thine Heart

My heart, to Him, in fealty I pledge
To ne'er permit iniquity to wedge
Its sordid figure betwixt we two.
And yet, still I have desire ado
For His heart, that to me He grant
His, and that it mine supplant.
And so if I be given His heart,
Our thoughts ne'er shall be far apart.
