Where do our hearts belong? And then, to whom?
Is it our passions that our lives consume
To each one, a different passion given
According to the way our lives are driven
Uniquely in the way our lives assume.
Will open minds and longing hearts be free?
And recognise the Gifts supplied that we
Received through sovereign Grace, by faith endowing
A greater gift than other loves, and bowing
To Him, His Spirit's gift that helps us see.
The sight of Jesus will a passion show
A newer, greater love than we can know
The understanding of His Grace arising
For nothing can compare with Him, surprising
Our hearts with wonders that will overflow.
This newer, cleaner heart will be our way
And chasing unforgiving thoughts away
Christ's beauty and His glorious Grace is filling
His people's hearts with heavenly love, instilling
The glory of our God's eternal sway.
