If The Good Lord’s Willing

I'm going to set my alarm early,
I'm going to open my eyes.
If the good Lord's willing,
And the creek don't rise.

I'm going to try my hardest,
I want to get things done,
So I'm going to rise early
I'm going beat the sun.

Spending time with God,
As I start my day,
He gets me going,
He helps me along my way.

Get the kids up
And out the door,
On time for school,
That's the hardest chore.

Doing the laundry,
Cooking meals,
I have so much to do,
If the good Lord wills.

I have dishes to do,
And beds to make,
If I get too tired,
I'll take a break.

I reflect on my life,
As I rest,
It doesn't take long,
To see I'm blessed.

Then as evening comes
Before the day ends,
I'm thankful for my family,
And the time that we spend.

I say my prayers,
Before I get into bed.
Then I climb in,
And lay down my head.

I plan on getting up early,
That should come as know surprise,
If the good Lord's willing,
And the creek don't rise.
