Refusing to Be Broken

Refusing to be broken
Happy living in my shame
Forgetting you are my guide
And that you have called my name

Busy living in this world
That leaves me only worn
Yet I stay here in the rubble
That leaves me completely torn

Letting myself become vulnerable
Buying into Satan's lies
Drowning in guilt and shame
All you ask is to lift up my eyes

Chains and shackle bound
Wanting me to make a brand new start
Trying to desperately hear a sound
Of a lost voice within my heart

Waiting patiently for me to choose
Between the darkness and the light
Watching as I break your heart
Waiting for me to make it right

Ezekiel 34:11-12
“For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness.
