By love constrained, I tell this tale,
Of a chasm deep, a gulf so wide.
The love from Christ, to me, would sail.
The breach so far, by sin I died.
Caught in time with sin's deception,
With love so strong, that gap He crossed.
Tears of shame at sin's inception.
The love of Christ now claims me - lost.
'Twas Father's will that I should live.
His life inside, I know not how.
The Son's sure gift, His life, would give,
For He's the one, my teacher now.
Eternal life is now my gift,
And cherished now by God am I,
As love from God covered my rift.
His child by faith, yes in His eye.
