WHEN YOU HEAR THE NAME OF CHRIST

who do they say I am?
Christ Jesus asked His followers—
the good Lord's precious Lamb.
"You are the Living Word of God—
the Son of God above
who came to save the world from sin
with mercy, grace, and love."
". . .And he will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
(Isaiah 9:6, NIV)
When you hear of the name of Christ
just what comes to your mind?
Who is He—can you describe—
how is this Man defined?
Did you know that Jesus Christ
is Sheperd, Savior, King,
Prince of Peace, Emmanuel,
and rules o'er everything.
Did you know our Counselor
is also God's sweet Lamb -
did you know that He was born
the Son of the "I AM?"
Did you know what Christ had done—
why He went to His grave?
Did you know He died for you
so you would be saved?. . .
Do you esteem this Son of God
and praise Him every day -
do you fix your eyes on Christ
and thank Him as you pray?
