You're Everywhere

by Leslie Rummel

When morning light has broken
A sweet fragrance fills the air.
The sun lifts up the southern sky
I feel You everywhere!

The serenading of the birds
Sharing their beauty through song,
Warms my heart reminding me
To Whom I do belong.

The whispery winds around me
Playfully dancing through my hair,
Must be angels from the Heavens
Showing me that You are there.

As morning leads to afternoon
Your Spirit guides my way,
Leading me down a chosen path
To a bright and hope-filled day!

When the day comes to an end
And darkness is my view,
I hear Your voice so tenderly say,
"My light remains within you."

I'm reminded of Your greatness
While entranced by distant stars,
And stand in awe and marvel
How indescribable You are!

Oh, the wonders of Your mighty work
Formed from the perfect plan,
You set it all in motion
With the power of Your hands!

But I know that all creation
Is not the final sum
And passionately look forward to
The glorious world to come!

For Your greatest gift remains unwrapped
And my eyes are eager to see
This place called Heaven that You've prepared
For my Eternity!
