It Is He

by Paul Zimmerman Jr © 2016

Born to die for one and all
I hear Him now give me the call
The preacher said yes it was He
Forgave our sins on Calvary

He told me how to start again
That although God, also a friend
If I would give my life to Him
I must repent of all my sins

I said oh yes that I will do
I know I can't live without You
And so I prayed deep in my heart
Look now Lord, I'm not that smart

But if you'll take a man like me
I'll let you live inside of me
The next day came before I knew
A brand new chance, the sky so blue

I have a hope now, joy and peace
I gave my burdens to release
This Son of God who loves me so
Is proof to me He's the one to know

There's more to life now than just me
So many others that need to see
This Savior and this Lord of Lords
Saving grace He will not hoard

Let Him help you, take His hand
And you'll become a brand new man
Some may think that's it's insane
To live for Christ and call that gain

It was not found just in a church
Renewed inside as like rebirth
Life on earth, well it will end
But a new one in heaven will begin

It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23(KJV)
